About the recipe

We made a crispy and very tasty toast with Greek Kerkini Buffalo Leg… with only 1.1% fat and a unique flavor… What we call “French” toast is what makes the difference from a simple toast… The bread takes a small “bath” in a mixture of fresh egg and is then baked in a pan.. the result is unique. Of course… YOU CAN!!!

Materials:

  • 2 slices of smoked buffalo leg Boras

  • 2 slices of kasseri cheese

  • 2 thick slices of bread for toast

  • a fresh egg

  • some milk

  • salt and pepper

  • a little fresh butter

Execution:

  1. Preparation for the French toast: In a bowl, beat a fresh egg well with a little milk, salt and pepper. Choose thick slices of toast bread and place 2 slices of cheese and 2 slices of smoked buffalo leg of Boras between them. Pour the egg mixture into a deep large plate and dip our toast from each bread until it is well soaked and absorbs the egg.

  2. Baking: In a non-stick frying pan, add a little fresh butter and over medium heat, let it melt but not burn. Place the toast and bake until the bread is golden brown and the egg is cooked. Before turning it over, add a little more butter. Cover with a lid so that the cheese melts well. Serve while it is still hot… the perfect snack!!!!
